... the day that was Thursday 9th February 2006

My life is not in anyway exciting at present, so again I cop out by just sharing with you good people bits and pieces I have seen and received via email ... enjoy.

A genius email which did the rounds following the news that some dumb fucking whale decided to go visit the Millenium Wheel, and proceeded to die having swam up the River Thames. No surprise considering the crap in it.

Turn the sound up and enjoy kids.

... the day that was Tuesday 6th December 2005

Days like this just reinforce to me why I hate with a passion – similar to that hatred reserved for the loud mouthed trash talking bint known as Janet Street Porter – Christmas shopping.

I took the wise choice to do a lot of this years shopping, not only prior to Christmas Eve, but also online. Unfortunately there were still a few items which needed to be purchased in person. So off I popped to Brighton to rinse my current account.

Knackered and fed up is how I feel after today, but I did manage to treat myself to some rather fetching items along the way.

I am now the proud owner of four limited edition prints by the artist Jamie Hewlett (of Tank Girl and Gorillaz fame). The four prints are of each character within the Gorillaz; 2D, Murdoc, Noodle and Russel. I feel the four of these will look rather spiffing lined up along one of my living room’s walls.

On another note, I have managed to pick up a few new albums and will pass my thoughts on either the RANTS or RAVES blog, depending on whether they make my head nod, or want to skip to the end.

Finally, I checked my email tonight, and had a gem forwarded to me. Three quotes from some Americans who do wonders for promoting the campaign “Not all Americans are stupid” – err want a fucking bet mate!

Question: If you could live forever, would you and why?
Answer: "I would not live forever, because we should not live forever, because if we were supposed to live forever, then we would live forever, but we cannot live forever, which is why I would not live forever,"
--Miss Alabama in the 1994 Miss USA contest--

"Whenever I watch TV and see those poor starving kids all over the world, I can't help but cry. I mean I'd love to be skinny like that, but not with all those flies and death and stuff."
--Mariah Carey--

Smoking kills. If you're killed, you've lost a very important part of your life."
--Brooke Shields, during an interview to become Spokesperson for federal anti-smoking campaign--

... the day that was Sunday 4th December 2005

Well I have spent the day whoring myself to the company I work for. I need to do this because they pay me next to nothing. Anyway as you can imagine that was boring, which means I have nothing interesting to say what-so-ever about my day.

That would obviously make for a boring entry to this blog, so I decided to share with you a couple of rather amusing emails I received. They are old, so no doubt you have already seen them, but to be honest I’m not tired yet, so feel the need to just keep hammering away at this keyboard. Yes I know my life sucks.

Sometimes a picture will just do.

With all the news on TV lately about the hurricanes that America is experiencing, the typhoons in China, and recent mud slides in South America, we shouldn't forget that the UK has its share of devastating weather too.

The following is a photo illustrating the damage caused to my mate Mark's home in Halifax, from the storm that passed through last night. It really makes you cherish what you have, and reminds us not to take things for granted.
